lyrics
Two black kites, circle round, through the quiet sky
Well you know that we, will always, believe
They carve a line, in the pale, blue, nervous light
Well you know the song, it’s one that we, can sing
As the night, bends and winds, past the Berimah Line
Can you please just play, the tape again, for me
Come on love, we can't lose
Shine like the Silver Jews
We wait, for rain
Mackeral skies, guide the way, through, the chanelled light
Our departure time, 1.45 , tonight
And as the dry, rolls away, still our love will stay
Can you please just play, the tape again, for me
Come on love, we can't lose
Shine like the Silver Jews
We wait, for rain
She said there’s nothing out there
Just the sunlight, in your eyes
All this way together
Come on, you and I
Sure we’ re sorry now
But we’re alright
All this way together
Hey now, you and I
Come on love, we can't lose
Clyde Bramley’s silver boots
Will take, us away
Come on love, we can't lose
Carson McCullers
She will hear, god today
Let your love lie lost, and incomplete
It’s music to me

I have been out of the Wilco loop for a while now, but this album has pulled me back in. I adore it. Tweedy and co. know how to write gentle, heartfelt songs while adding just the right amount of unusual synth additions. The second half of the record ends INCREDIBLY strongly. If you've been out of Wilco for a while like me, check it out. BobandoCommando
Philadelphia-based Labrador make unfussy and empathetic alt-country meant to sincerely bolster the downcast in times of strife. Bandcamp New & Notable Jan 5, 2023
Wilco is easily my favorite band right now. 25 years into their career and as relevant today as ever. Love the sparse drums and down tempos of this album. Everyone Hides is a classic sounding Wilco single that just makes me feel great - love the video too. Ryan Evans HTX
